Nutrition is Medicine

Let food be thy medicine – still the best advice.

Nutrients are not random things in food that you should try to get once in a while. They are an essential part of every system, every reaction, every cell of your being.

For instance, just breaking down glucose into energy requires nutrients such as magnesium-dependent ATP, niacin-dependent NAD, riboflavin-dependent FAD, and others like thiamin, biotin, and pantothenic acid just in the first step of the Krebs cycle.

You cannot expect to be healthy without consuming the adequate nutrients your body needs. No pharmaceutical pill will make up for mistreating your body.

The simplest way to be healthy is to eat lots of colorful plants, choose lean protein sources, stay within your calorie needs, and be mindful of the nutrients you are likely not consuming enough of (or too much of).

Get up and move around, don’t sit so much. That is it. Not a million-dollar ad campaign to sell you some product here.
